Speed Up a Slow Laptop

Use built-in Windows tools first; avoid unknown “PC cleaner” applications.

Follow these steps

1

Restart the laptop and install pending Windows updates.

2

Open Task Manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc and disable unnecessary Startup apps.

3

Free disk space using Settings > System > Storage > Temporary files.

4

Run Windows Security full scan to rule out malware.

5

Uninstall programs you no longer use from Settings > Apps.

6

Keep at least 15–20% of the system drive free; consider an SSD or RAM upgrade if performance remains poor.
